birth control shoulf of worked but its not 100 % effective also its really unlikey if she just got off her period as the release of the egg is normally day 14-17 of the menstrual cycle

 Birth control, depending on what kind she uses, is 80-90 % effective, by itself.
So there is a small chance that she could get pregnant, sorry to break the bad news, but its reality. You should see if she would be willing to take a pregnancy test for free att he local women's health clinic.

 If she has correctly been self-administering her birth control, it should be almost totally effective at preventing pregnancy. Additionally, impregnation is least probable soon after and just prior to menstruation.
