writes: Okay well, I've been on the depo shot for about a year now and I have a couple of questions about it.My ex boyfriend and I were together for 2 years and after I started the shot, we stopped using condoms, actually my gyno had told me to stop using them because I was allergic and got yeast infections, swollen and broke out easily from them so we used the pull out method. He came inside of me quite a few times while we were together and nothing ever happened, no pregnancy scares or anything. We broke up back in December and I have a new guy now, that i've been with for 2 months and today was the first time we had sex. I know all guys are different but, I'm curious, if I never got pregnant before being on the depo, does that still mean I wont or is that still a possibility? I cannot use condoms, and my boyfriend can't stand them so we wouldn't use them but neither one of us, want children. Thanks for any answers (:

the depo injection is an injection that stops you from getting pregnant the pull out method you can still become pregnant with not a good idea there are different types of condoms on the market latex free ones too you need to find out what you are allergic too first. Stop having sex with your boyfriend until you and him both have a health check as their is so many std's out there and everyone should have a check up in between new partners. The injection will stop any pregancys but will not stop you getting std's. Don't forget if you do have unprotected sex there is the morning after pill that can be taken up to 72 hours after sex.
