A male United Kingdom age 36-40, *loser writes:

I have been going out with a girl for 3 years. We had planned to move out, have kids and spend the rest of our lives together. She has just broken up with me but says she still loves me, fancy's me and needs time for herself. She says she needs to feel like she misses me. I spoke with her yesterday (2 days since break-up) and she says that she's cried the whole time, misses me and needs to find out whether she's made the right decision. Her mum even said to her that she's acting like I've died. Will she come back?

I am in exactly the same position exept my relationship was 4years and my girlfreind hides her emotions well! all i can suggest u to do is cut contact with her for at least 2 weeks then just give her a call to see how she is doing, and see how she stil feels! what ever you do dont beg for her back this will just push her away or even worse you will get back together and it wont last-because the problems are still there. if she still feels the same dont contact her let her cantact you! (it can take between 2 weeks and even a few months for you to get back together) let her know that u are sad about the breakup, an that you can live on without her-(dont physicaly tel her that you can live without her,) this is te best thing you can do! GOOD LUCK! keep me updated!
