Will it go back to its normal shape after the first time?

My vulva does not look the same each time I look at it. Sometimes it just looks like a fold of skin where the two sides meet. After touching it for a bit it seems to open up and the inside shows. Is this normal? Will it go back to its normal shape after the "first time"?
