He didn't want a relationship anymore, I don't want anyone else I want to be alone, same amount of time, he wanted to stay 'friends' etc etc
I dunno what to say to you really, 'cause it sucks so much doesn't it? Maybe time, and no contact really will work?
Mine's with someone else though now, (the 'dreaded fb lets you know, hey!) so I defo won't contact him anymore!
The only thing that makes you get over someone is when you're distracted by someone else... (though I don't want a relationship, neither do you) so maybe that will have to mean by friends?
Am so gonna watch your question to see what people say!

 i know you probably don't wanna hear this but time is healing, so you have to wait. people we loved but are not meant to be with us will always stay in a special place in our heart. but to stop suffering and missing him continue keeping yourself busy and find a new project that interests you to keep your mind off things. eventually you will think about him less and when you do think about him there will be no pain or longing.
i hope you will soon feel better.
