Will I be able to find a woman if I follow my dream career?

A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Do people still meet potential partners after university?

I'm 22 and the annoying thing is that I am confident now to talk to female strangers, particularly ones that I find attractive and used to find intimidating as most are the same in that they are as nervous about talking to guys as I am and that most will be friendly on first encounter.

My problem is that I don't know if I'll be able to meet women as much once I start working because I plan to become a civil engineer. And I don't want to do an office job just because there's likely to be more women there but I want to do civil engineering because I've always been interested in that.

I feel I have the right qualities to attract women (confident, sense of humour, not weak, keep to a healthy lifestyle) and I'm not as negative. Well- except for this question

No. The rule is, that if you are not engaged by the time you graduate then you must never ever speak to the opposite sex again.

Did you not get the email?

Haven't you noticed all the other guys down on one knee all over the place around exam time?

I don't know why you are worried.... It's a well known fact that to get into the civil engineering union you have to take a vow of celibacy anyway.

Good Luck!! xx

CindyCares agony aunt OMG ! You have posted the same question at least two other times, and everybody, really everybody, has told you : yes, don't worry, you will find a girlfriend out or your work field, it will happen.

May just add thet it will happen faster if you use the time that you employ for re-posting and checking the answers, to instead go out and about, socialize, meet people etc. ?
