Masturbating will not hurt your fertility, so don't worry about that; you have access to the internet and should research this yourself if you still aren't sure. Plenty of women masturbate--I don't know anyone who doesn't-- so you are not alone and you are not normal because you do it. Since masturbating does not affect fertility, there is no need to tell your doctor about it if you don't want to, but you do need to speak to your doctor about your period.

Because of the nature of what gynecologists do, you probably won't be able to get a diagnosis on line. If you are embarrassed or uncomfortable, go to a female doctor.
How irregular are your periods? Do you go months without a period, do you sometimes skip a month or does it come at different times every month?

Of course it's not embarrassing. Believe me, the doctor will have seen and heard just about everything. I am positive if you tell him you are just worried that you might not be able to conceive that he will be able to help.

Only a doctor will be able to tell you whether you can conceive or not. So if you want to know, it would be better to speak to a doctor to be sure.
