Hi aunts!

So, I like this guy and I think he likes me. We do get along well (we work together) and I'd love to ask him out. I'm gonna see him tomorrow at work and I'd like to just casually say something like: "Would you maybe like to come over to my place for dinner tomorrow night?". Provided I find the guts to actually ask him... what if he thinks I'm a desperate freak? Is it too blunt? Should I wait for him to ask me instead?

Yeah, a drink is fine... I agree, a meal might actually be a little too much at this stage! Thanks for helping me see things straight!

petina1 agony auntWait until a Friday and ask him if he'd like to go for a drink from work to unwind. I think asking him for a meal at your place maybe a bit too forward and if he's not ready for that could scare him off. Small steps so you can feel your way about would be best. Otherwise if it all goes pearshaped then you still have to work with the guy.

Yes I would ask him but keep it light and almost throw away. Leave him able to say he is not free and not feel too awkward. You might like to not pin him to a particular day - say 'you must come over for dinner at mine, I cook at great ...(meal of your choice)!'
