Hello

Thanks for reading this, I will try and keep it brief.

I joined an internet dating site, and got chatting to a lovely guy for a few weeks, then moved on to texting, emailing and then a few phonecalls. This has been going on for a little over a month, and he has suggested we meet, and we have arranged to meet for a coffee next week in the afternoon

I am a little bit worried about safety etc, so he doesnt know my address etc, and we are meeting in a public place. I certainly dont think he is dangerous at all, and I feel comfortable talking to him, but as we all know we have to keep ourselves safe.

Anyway, I am worried that he will think I am unattractive when we meet. He has seen a few photos of me and maybe I am just being silly, but I have quite low self esteem, am a little overweight and suffer from androgenic alopecia. It means that my hair is thin, but not bald. I am told I have a pretty face and smile and I know i have nice blue eyes, but I stil feel sick to my stomach that he will run a mile when he sees my hair. I know he is a little overwieight himself and I am sure he is not shallow.I have told him my hair is thin and he seemed unphased by this and just said "just do a Gail porter and shave it all off" so he didnt seem put off. I told him (jokingly) that he might not like me when we meet up to which he replied "whats not to like"

Please help, I havent been on a date in 7 years, (I have been married all that time, but separated now)

Thanks Guys, I appreciate it!

raiders agony auntYou didn't lie so I don't think there will be problem. The most important thing is you were honest, how exciting make sure you fix your hair nice, wear moderate make up, and wear an awesome outfit. Good Luck and be safe!

He knows everything, so I don't think it matters to him. I'm sure it will be fine, and you'll have a great time. Just be safe and maybe tell someone you'll be out on a date in case you need a lift or anything like that. Have fun.
