In my experience, which is longer than I usually care to reveal, it usually does help to get over a past romance by beginning another. You will probably find that moving on is the better way if indeed your former affair is truly over. Try to understand that women may come and go during your life span, especially when so young. You simply have to adjust to this possibility (actually a probability).

You should probably deal with your feelings with the your ex girl friend before you decide to sleep with another girl. One you start an intimate relationship with someone, even if it is stated in the begning no strings, feelings will develop quickly, and it will complicate and possibly ruin your friendship with the other girl.
