Question - (7 May 2012) 5 Answers - (Newest, 7 May 2012)
A male United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I am 15 and i have never had a girlfriend, all of my other friends have had girlfriends and most of them have had sex. If i get a girlfriend i am kind of afraid of sex because i am slightly fat. I am 5"4 and i weigh 10.6 stone. My BMI is 25.5 which is just overweight. The fat on my body is all on my stomach and thighs so i am afraid that when (if) i have a relationship with a girl and we develop in the relationship and she/we want to have sex i am scared that she will be repulsed any tips ? I am trying to lose weight but my metabolism is 10 - 15% slower than average and i am really trying to lose weight but i just can't ! Will a girl be truly repulsed by my body ?

Just work out eat right and be yourself there is more to a person than looks but do work on yourself for your own health not for the benefit of a girl.

well many girls will find your overweight-ness unattractive, that's just a fact. But some won't mind it, especially if they themselves and overweight they will be more sympathetic. It just depends on the person.

I think though, that your weight will affect your self confidence and that will have more of an effect on the other person.

She wouldnt be worth knowing if she was. Keep up with the exercise etc as Odds says. You can do running, cycling, football too, its just developing good habits. You could hit 6ft in a few years and balance out so just look after your body and wait. You will be confident and ready for anything in a year

A male reader, Odds United States +, writes (7 May 2012):

Odds agony auntOn the one hand, your body will work against you in initial attraction; however, girls pay attention to these things - so it won't be any surprise to her. She'll have noticed it just seeing you move around every day. If she decides to get intimate with you, she'll see it coming, and in that situation you can rest assured it'll be fine.

On the other hand, you're not terribly fat. Getting into good shape would be relatively easy compared to, say, if you decided to do something about it after you hit 200 pounds. You're also still growing, so you may very well grow into your size. Start hitting the gym - do some free weights, and try to get some instruction in proper technique. Try to improve your diet - fewer grains, more lean proteins and vegetables, sweets once a week. Even if your metabolism is slow, commit to three months of solidly healthy living with no excuses, and I'll bet you'll be surprised by your progress.

Being honest we first look at how cute you are And your body so if you like a girl talk to her instead of hiding and if she really likes you it won't matter when your having sex
