A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

One night i was in the bathroom getting ready to brush out my hair after i got out of the shower and my sister comes in and says i wouldn't do that if i were you.. and i was like do what? She said brush out my hair when it is wet. I asked why and she said because it gives you hair split ends.

Is it true that you will get split ends if you brush out your hair while it is still wet?

dearkelja agony auntI have always heard, comb when wet, brush when dry. I think the hairbrush stretches wet hair and tends to break it more easily.

Anyone out there in the beauty business???
