writes:I am 18 years old. I am not pretty, in fact, I think that I am really ugly. I have a lot of insecurities with the way I look. First, I have a lot of blemishes. But the one that really concerns me is this: I have stretch marks on my shoulders. I got them because of fluctuating weight and growth spurt as well. I can't even wear sleeveless shirts because of these stretch marks. I never had a boyfriend, in fact, no one has ever asked me out. I feel a bit sad because it's like no one will ever like me because of these stretch marks or my physical blemishes. I am afraid that if I ever had a boyfriend, he will dump me because I have stretch marks. It really makes me cry thinking about that no man will ever love me, and I have to spend my life alone. Do you think there will still be guys who will think that I am beautiful in spite of my physical blemishes? What can I do so that I can feel beautiful?

Dont say that you are ugly because you will just make your self esteem get even lower..and ofcourse your gonna find a guy who will love you for exactly who you are and is not going to care about how you look..in his eyes you will be the most beautiful girl in the world..trust me there is a soul mate for every one :) dont worry you sound like a beautiful girl to me :)

But the right man came along and he saw my inner beauty as opposed to my outer appearance. The right man will come along for you, too, honey. And as for right now, practice the daily mirror trick. Every day, stand in front of the mirror (sans clothes) and count the things you find beautiful. Find five every day. Make lists of your wonderful personality traits that other people adore. Ask friends why they like you and write it down. Show people your personality! Enjoy your life honey, don't live it in fear.

 When you find a guy that likes you, stretch marks won't put him off! if they do then he isn't the guy for you.
Have you tried rubbing bio oil onto them? supposedly that can help reduce them, but i dont know how true that is

reader, anonymous, writes (3 January 2011): Firstly,I doubt you are actually ugly-even the most beautiful girls have imperfections,and they are self-concious about them too.Secondly,yes-you will find a man to love you-I see very ugly girls all the time with men-different men like different things anyway-at school,I used to feel really ugly and the whole class used to say I was ugly as well but there was this boy who fancied me,even though there was a beautiful girl who was interested in him,he thought she was ugly and he wanted me!so you just never know...
