Will a controlling person know when they have lost control?

If you leave someone who controlled you for many years and now they cant even contact you or know where you live, will they know now that they have lost control of you? I feel so much better knowing that person doesnt even know where i am.

Starlights agony auntYes i think that if you finally managed to get away from such an evil controlling person they will know that you are now in a better place and that they no longer control aspects of your life.

It's a stab in the chest for them.
