Why would a fella say to you that we are better as mates and then start coming on stronger when i told him that's ok

we have been friends for years and few months back said we had feelings for each other and he was going to dump gf for me and then he said that to me.

We talk every single day and have become good friends and close.

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntLet me extend to you one of the secrets of "guyhood."

IF we can convince a girl that we are great/close/solid "friends" ..... and THEN can convince her (you!) hat we are so close that it's impossible to avoid being intimate...... THEN, we have maneuvered you to that classic arrangement - Nirvana, really - wherein YOU don't question our sincerity, whilest WE have gotten you to believe that that "sincerity" is SINCERE.... but, really, all it does is make you available to us for $ex.....

Simple, no?

Good luck....
