As i am sure you are aware the annual pilgrimage to (xxxxxxxx) racecourse for the festival is coming up soon...I have my ticket. Coach up and late train back. The racecourse is near me but I was wondering if they were dropping a hint to remind me that they wanted racing tips again like last year or a hint at meeting up or as a friend said to me trying to make me jealous. Just thought it was an odd comment to make in relation to the travelling comment.

Eh? It's Facebook. I really wouldn't take anything posted on there too serious.
I think if they are friends, they would CALL and see if I wanted to met up, not leave little FB posts. As for making you jealous? What are they 12 years old?
I would just post, sounds lovely, have a great time.

I don't see anything odd about that comment. They're probably hinting for you to meet up with them.

Your reaction to their comment seems odder than the comment itself. It was simply conversation.

I see it as a comment related to traveling. I don't think it's worth trying to read too much into, people don't always have secret meanings behind what they write, and sure sometimes things don't sound like they fit into the conversation, but we can't all be excellent at always saying the perfect thing for each comment... Some times we just say what we are thinking of, and obviously the comment on traveling made this person think of this new travel they are going on. Simple as that.
