A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So my ex knows I'm meeting new guys... I got a text from him about meeting up with me and I agreed because I'm still not over him... My ex went and met with his ex a few days ago who is still completely in love with him and he texted me telling me saying how he was out having dinner with her... And that he was having an amazing time :/ Then a day later he text's me and is like "I got back with her"... When he was with her, he couldn't stand her, he would always complain... Even though he's with her, he still want's to meet me...

Why would he text me this? Should I just completely ignore him? And why would he still want to meet me if he's back with her?

I can not believe your ex would text you and tell you these things. What wae the purpose of him doing so? Was he trying to make you jealous? Was he trying to hurt you?

Sounds like he wants his cake and eat it too! There is no reason for him to be calling you and texting you if he has rekindled a relationship with his ex.

It is important that you take a definite stand in this relationship. Stop things now before you are caught up in a relationship that will cause you nothing but heartache and pain. He will also have more respect for you if you stand up and put your foot down and tell him that you do not want to have anything to do with him as long as he has a girlfriend.

It is time for you to get busy and find you a new boyfriend. A good boyfriend does not talk negative about previous relationships. If he talked negative about her, then he will talk negative about you.

Time to move on and let him have his cake!

Sweet-thing agony auntYes, ignore him. You don't want to be any guy's "back up plan" and that's what it sounds like to me.
