A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

okay, so I've never resulted to asking a website anything but I'm a little desperate. Me and this guy have been dating since January 17, 2007 and I broke up with him for about 3 weeks and he continuously called and drove by my house, he begged me to go back with him. Well when I get back with him, I find out he had been talking to two other girls. One of them he just met and he lied continuously about little things about her like he said he met her at a party and just talked. Later I find out they were talking while me and him got back together. Then I find out she stayed the night at the party he stayed at after, he swore he just stayed and not her. I keep finding more lies? He swears he didn't do anything but why would he lie about her staying the night? When I first found out about the first lie I remained calm and if anything that should show that it's okay to tell me the truth.

A female reader, TasteofIndia United States +, writes (9 January 2009):

TasteofIndia agony auntHoney, why in the world would you waste your time on such a liar?? It seems to me that people only lie to cover up when they've done wrong... and clearly he has. Whatever he did do that night, he feels guilty about, he knows you'd be upset if you knew and he feels like he needs to make up a bunch of crap instead.

Even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm curious as to why you guys broke up in the first time? An ex is an ex for a reason and he's not kicking off his second chance with you very well. I would say boot him to the curb and find a new fella!!
