It would seem to me that maybe he enjoys your friendship, and texting is an easy way to communicate. He does have a girlfriend locally, and starting something with you would seem like an odd thing to do. However, I could be wrong, and him starting something with you would be low risk to him because you live a long way away. Hiding texting is easy, and he could be trying to play both angles. Really though, if he is a decent guy, he probably just wants to be your friend. I wouldn't read too much into it if it were me..... unless he has said something that would make you think otherwise...?Just my two cents.
