I always hang out with his friends and i talk to them alot but when he joins the group he suddenly acts quiet and seems upset. But when we are both alone he acts loud and is very talkative and flirty. What is wrong with him? Does he act jealous because he likes me?

 Maybe he doesn't deal well with big crowds and finds it hard to communicate. It seems he can be himself around you which is great. If you like him then you should tell him.
