Why won't the guy I like look at me?

I thought he took interest in me because he would talk and look at me constantly the first couple of days but he doesn't look at me in the eyes, only when we are alone. But when we are around other girls he looks at their feet or their shirts but not at me, he dosen't even face me, he turns with his shoulder towards me but he'll still stand next to me. He sometimes always is behind me or near me but maybe by coincidence? And sometimes when he talks he gets real close to my face, but I see him talk to other girls and he looks at them and gets close to them so I get jealous. What do you think of this?
