She worked with him for about 9 months and always told me we would get along. we started talking and hanging out about 3 weeks ago and everything was really cool. He's a great guy and we have a lot in common. However, this past week he's become kind of distant with me. We havent been talking as much or hung out. Now, he IS getting ready for a week long birthday roadtrip. Here's the kicker lol. He just got out of a long term relationship about 3 months ago. We have already established that neither of us wants to rush into anything, but I'm a little confused as to why the sudden distace? I mean since we have met we have talked or texted every day pretty much through out the entire day, then all of a sudden it stops. What might this mean? Am I reading too much into it?

If he has all of a sudden stopped texting and speaking to you then there is probably something to it (but the "something" could be anything!). There isn't a lot you can do except give him space and hope he starts contacting you again, or to nicely ask him if something is up.
A very similar situation happened to me and the reason was the other guy had decided he wasn't ready for any sort of a relationship and just wanted to be friends. Maybe (or maybe not!) it is a similar thing - he thought things were getting too involved so has just backed off a bit.
Hope you hear from him real soon :)
