He told me that he loved me after about a week. I said that we couldn't have a relationship because of the distance but he insisted that his feelings were so strong that he was willing to make it work and at first, it was great. He would always call and text me saying he misses me and loves me so much. But after that, he didn't call as often saying he was busy with work but still texted me every so often. The last time we had a normal conversation, he said that he missed me a lot. Later that day, he completely ignored me and deleted me from everything. He didnt even bother to answer my calls so I wrote him an angry message. He said he couldnt handle the distance and wasn't in love with me and simply said goodbye. Its been a month and I still feel so hurt. Why would he do this to me? He was the one that kept pushing to be with me so why did he have such a change of heart?

A real relationship often takes about 6 months to really get to that point...when the honeymoon period is over and honesty begins. When it's long distance and you rarely see each other, it takes a lot longer.
He meant it in the moment and then found someone else he said the same things to.
