Question - (2 October 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 3 October 2011)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm a junior in high school, and theres this girl in my chemistry class that i think is really attractive, but we've never said one word to each other. I'm not sure if she will like me because she seems like the smart reserved type and I'm sort of a slacker, but on the other hand I'm pretty reserved too. I really want to get to know her and ask her out, but I don't really know how to go about it. I'm not really the kind of person to just start talking to someone, so if anyone has any suggestions, please tell me because I really like her.

aunt honesty agony auntAm sorry to say that if you want to get to know her well then you are going to have to get talking to her. There is no easy way around it. You say you are not the type of person to just strike up a conversation but if you really like her well you have no choice. Start by doing simple things like smiling at her and saying hello. Show her that you notice her and then take it a step further each time by gradually having a conversation with her.
