Hi there, I have a reputation of being blatently honest and maybe contravertial, I give the real deal with no frills.
I have answered this question in a generalised way giving a full answer to be the benifit of more than one enquirer.
OK several issues here in this question Why Older Men ?.
1. Why Older Men ?. The father figure= maybe this is due to a missing father, that is a father that was not available at all, for example a one parent family of either a divorced mother, it could be a lost father such as where dad died shortly after the birth of the daughter, a mother who had a boyfriend that either deserted her or she actually wanted no man in her life apart from bringing her daughter into the world, it could be a serviceman father in the armed forces being posted abroad and only seeing the family for short periods and then going away again.or possibly more contraversial gay parents where there is no male influence, and the daughter sees other girls fathers and decides that this part of her life is missing.
2. Why Older Men ?.The more mature? = The plain fact is that girls do mature faster than us boys. Some young girls of the legal age of consent, sometimes look on boys her own age as immature and childish, they are also often into computer or fantasy games, mad about fishing, football,baseball or the like and do not treat girls seriously. Most boys are only interested in the quick one off shag and then go on to the next girl, often leaving them in emotional distress. They also have a nasty habbit of telling all their mates about their conquests and sharing intimate secrets, as well as names, numbers and emails !
Most boys do not know how to treat a girl, and look on the whole thing as being a laugh.
Another thing is that most young chaps live at home with their mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, so having a quiet romantic night in or overnight, might be bordering on the impossible. So a pub drink, a dark alley or the backseat of a car might be most likely. My early experience to that is similar and a Police shining a flashlight could be a right turn off, as a cat landing on the roof !
3. Why Older Men ?. More experience in life = Older men possibly have had considerable experience with women, the older they are, maybe they have already sowed their wild oats so had countless past girlfriends to know the thousands of permitations affecting the female moods and sexual turn ons. So the new girl friend will be tenderly cared for and this male will know what buttons to press to give the ultimate in satisfaction and pleasure. He will provide a shoulder to cry upon, and having learned through experience what turns a woman away or off through loss, is more eagre to impress and hold on to his treasured prize.
Most older men are far more reliable than their youger counterparts, as they learned this from life in both business and pleasure.Respect and consideration is also in the armery, fould sadly missing in the modern man of today. Most older men are more experienced in the ways of life and can be a walking enclycopedea in what you want to know. He can also be your help in time of need and his resourses seem almost endless.
4. Why Older Men ?. More money to spend = The national minimum wage for under 18 is £3.53 per hour or £7,342.40 per year, 18 to 21 £4.77 per hour or £9,921.60 per year, 5.73 per hour or £11,918.40 (22 and older) out of that you pay income tax and other stopages, the you have to pay your way for your board and lodge, leaving very little for spending.
As for older men for example a Bank officer at £30,000 per year, or a Product Manager at £65,000 plus, to a Barraster at £500,000 plus
Older men mostly own their own property, some have fully paid up mortgages, some own property abroad, some have yachts and other posessions.
5. Go for the older man if you want to be wined dined = With age comes many things, Money !, a decent car, a better dressed man, better well paid job, more settled career, maybe an executive, business owner, more possessions, and the oportunity of being treated like a real lady !
Young men cannot do this as they have not reached the status or experience. Older men have aquired the knowledge through misadventure to know how a woman should be treated.
6. Go for the older man if you want enless satisfying sex = As for the romantic conclusion, the older man could offer either his own home comforts or a luxurious hotel to spend the romantic night, wheras the young man could only dream of such a thing.
As for endless sex, well that is most likely to be fact as most young men are battling with raging testosterone levels, zits and other undesirables.
Sex can be anything from premature ejaculation to frantic randy forced sex, although to be fair there are the few that has got it just right.
Many forget the all impotant clit, and go straight to it and satisfy themselves leaving the lady, frustrated and wanting far more when they are about to leave ! As for the older man he takes time to consider the ladies pleasure, by first setting the scene by relaxation in private surroundings that the couple would not be disturbed, he spends time in preparing for the heavenly pleasure to come, by foreplay getting the juices flowing, then a full mutual orgasm is more likely. When this takes place in this unhurried state then with a little rest the whole thing can be repeated several times.
It is unlikely that younger men could do this as their raging hormones would not permit this as sex is far more urgent in their case, fuelled by overwhelming lust, power, possession, conquest both physical and mental.
7. Go for the older man if you want to be the centre of attention = Older men have more time, so he could spend more time with you ! For example managers or those who own their own companies delegate responsibility and work, most can take time out for " pleasure " so an unexpected visitor could be taking you out and whisking you away to paradice ! A surprise gift is often on the way as money is no object to the one he loves. You are often a princess on your birthday or a special aniversary or occassion. He wants to keep you and keep impressing you, as it is cool for his image to be seen with a beautiful young woman on his arm.
Why Older Men ?. A word of caution though: Age should no be a barrier if you get on well and love one another, BUT appearance is all important, as it is imperitive that you blend together, you must make sure that you and him look the part. It is no good you looking young and he having gray or white hair that he looks old enough to be your grandfather ! as in a restaurant the waiter might unwhittingly say in the earshot of several nearby tables," would your grandad like soup of the day ?" then nearby patrons start sneering remarks like, "the secretary" or worse "the callgirl"or "gold digger"
Sorry this is somewhat long but you did ask, and there is obviously more to your innocently simple question that in all fairness is a large subject,
us older chaps have alot going for us and far from common belef amongst the younger ones, I hope that this has blown apart some of the myths and this is based on my experience through my own life. I have been married twice, devorced once from a nymphomaniac, and where my 2nd marriage drifted apart through career and money prospects, I have had 47 relationships ranging from one date to almost nine years. I hope I can help others as I have learned alot about relationships as I have loved and lost, sometimes through my own stupidity, and I vow I will help others as I have alot of experience to share.

reader, anonymous, writes (4 March 2009): Teenage girls think older men are sexy. It's not weird. It's not a sign that the're extra mature. And it's not always a sign of some kind of father issue, although father issues seem to make it more likely and harder to deal with.
It's also just a "safe" crush. When you don't think anything will come out of it, it's an infatuation that's not as threatening to you.
