A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi, for five years now i have been having an on off thing with a guy i care alot about. I have told him i care for him and he says he cares for me. However i dont feel he cares in the same way.We did not call one another boyfriend and girlfriend but we had been sleeping together. It was a casual arrangement. However everytime one off us has tried to end it in the past we have kept giving it one more chance. However he has been getting more into his christianity recently and has told me he does'nt want us to sleep together anymore. He feels its morally wrong now and god doesnt want that for us, he wants us to be friends and he wants to meet up with me more and do things more as friends and get to know me and talk more. I asked him out years ago and he said we will see how its goes. But i do want to be his friend but i want more. i keep feeling he is going to tell me how he feels but never does. Or maybe he feels nothing? Help

metoo1124 agony auntfirst off try to respect him if he wants to be celebate try to support him and encourage him instead of trying to pressure him into something that he doesnt feel hes ready for. i would just keep hangin out with him as a friend and dont try to push a relationship on him or he will feel overwhelmed and you will push him away. wait until he makes the move on you and asks you out or asks you to start a relationship dont seem to desperate to be with him because he will only find it off putting.
