You're saying your get along great, it could be he only treated you as a normal friend, having say that, you need to be observant to find out whether is he fond of you or not, eg. his body language, in simple, how he treated you and his other friends, any difference? Normally, if a guy likes a girl, he will definately behaves differently, Im sure, you can tell...
Anyhow, doesn't matter, if he needs more times to consider, you better be patient and calm, otherwise, you'll just make him feel uneasy, well, I know how you feel when 2 persons get along well yet the friendship just remain as it is, perhaps, if there is a chance, you may ask him, it could be there is some problem that bothering him, e.g. age gap, family problem, study, work pressure, health problem, financial problem etc....
Good luck girl!

Some people just are hesitant for many reasons one of them being the fear of getting hurt.
You need to make a choice on whether you want him no matter what if you do then all you can do it just sit back and take things slowly giving him the time to trust you and want to build on what you have.
Good luck :o)
