I asked why he messaged me. He said he wanted to say hi and to see how i was doing. He said he always did think I was cool. We kinda talked about why him and my friend broke up and he said he was reformed. Also talked about what a tool her current boyfriend is. Would he be trying to talk to me to get info about my friend since she blocked him or is he hitting on me? When him and my friend were together i only met him probably two times. Before i signed off cause i had to go to work he told me to have a good day at work. Thoughts?

reader, anonymous, writes (15 March 2010): He's only trying to get back at your friend, in my opinion. You say he is reformed? From what? Drugs? Alcohol? Sounds like a pre-emptive strike and to be honest don't trust him. Not that it can't happen, but you should be careful on approach on this one. He could be a total loser who will cause problems between your friend and you and then dump you.Just by his opinion on your friend's new boyfriend being a "tool" it makes it apparent that he is jealous. Considering that and the fact that she "blocked" him, and now he is trying to contact you? Strange, and if it about you, then why are you talking about your friend? Not a good sign at all.I would be upfront with your friend about him contacting you. Ask her for her opinions and see if she would be offended by you seeing him, if of course you are interested (which I think you are, otherwise why would you be here asking?) I would be very careful on proceeding with this guy.
