okay so about a week and a half ago my bf(now ex) broke up and idk what his deal is but lately hes been acting so immature towards me lately. like one day i tried to get him, our friend, and me to hang out the way we did when we were all just friends and when i went inside to get something they decided to run away and ditch me! and when i called him to be nice and invite him to hang out he didnt answer and then he texted my friend and said "dude, she just called me!" then yesterday at lunch he was acting like a total asshole. when i sat down he moved down and sat as far away from me as possible and gave me this stupid smile. then as i walked by he started laughing and said "look its her!" im getting so pissed off. i think he may have heard that now i have a thing with this other guy who goes to my school but idk. my friend said she thinks he likes me and wants me back and that hes jealous.what do you all think? and what should i do?

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (15 December 2010):

I would distance yourself from him. He's a teenage boy, and teenage boys can be very cruel for little to no reason. And he's being cruel to you. He's an ex boyfriend, and what you had before is gone. You won't ever really be the same again. So, whilst he's acting like an idiot, you should just distance yourself from him.
