We've never been facebook friends, we have no common interests, we don't have each other's emails and never had, don't have anything else listed that is similar like school or work or location, and we only have 2 mutual friends. All the other people I have on "people you may know" have more than 2 mutual friends with me, yet he is on the top of the list? does it mean he recently viewed my profile or has been?

if you block him you won't see it and it won't bother or worry you.

It does not mean he is looking at your facebook page.

Just click the little 'x' at the top right of the suggestion every time it comes up and it'll disappear.

I don't think people come up more because they have viewed your profile think its just because you have mutual friends. Just ignore it, who is Facebook to tell you who you should or shouldn't be friends with!

Does any of your other friends know him? If so that can be why, OR if you were friends before it CAN pop up as "people you may know". No sure why it does this if you unfriended him, but I have seen it before.
I wouldn't worry about it since he is an ex.
