 Hey man, it happens. I'm the same age and still haven't met someone. Been single a little over a year now too. I decided to try online dating. It went slowly at first, but lately I'm getting more dates. It's a bit of a craps shoot, but I'm hoping that I find someone that I hit it off with and not rushing anything in the mean time.
One thing is for certain, you'll never meet her if you don't put yourself out there. Speed dating, online, singles bars... There are options, you just have to decide what ones you want to use.
