A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So I like this girl, and she liked me for a time, we were talking, texting, meeting up. But all of a sudden since I told her I liked her she doesnt seem interested and is always too busy to meet up. I feel I've lost my chance with her but is there anyway I can tell this is so or even perhaps get another chance?

Odds agony auntYou took the mystery away. Girls want relationships to "just happen" as if it were fated, rather than a conscious and informed decision by both parties. It's only after the relationship has begun that they start wanting to spell things out.

If you see her again, just be casual, as if she were a friend. You can hug, touch her forearm, that sort of thing, but basically treat her the same as any other girl. You may get back on track with her, but not by actually trying to do so. Just consider it lesson learned and pursue other girls.

I think the key is probably to stop being passive and worried about it, and just ask her out. There are two ways that can go, really, but at least you'll know, and the confidence of asking her outright could tip her from intrigue to a date. Of course, she has given signs which could be interpreted as a lack of interest, so don't get your hopes too high. None the less... Ask her.
