When he finally returns it, he calls you after you get your stuff back and tells you, "its not finished yet, ok? Call me anytime you need anything. I will be waiting for your call"Now after 2 days I sent him a thank you on text for the concern he showed me and he didn't reply. He confuses me. If he meant what he said, then wouldn't he have replied to say anything even if he doesnt really need to reply, just to be nice with me?I was just being nice to give a better closure for us. I know I don't have to be upset but I can't help it.Your advises pls!!

But yes you two are right, it's like he is trying to control me. I wonder why I put up with an asshole like that. Many times I tried to ignore him but he comes calling me and texting me like i should pity him. Once he sees I give in to him again, there he starts to play this mind games. What a jerk. Gives me more motivation to ignore him.
Anyway, there is nothing left to discuss with him anymore as we have returned stuff to one another. I actually feel better now, I can finally ignore him and move on.
Thanks to both of you.

Definitely sounds like someone who has a bit of a control issue. For the most part, he doesnt want to have anything to do with you, but at the same time, he doesnt want to fully let you go as that would mean... "officially saying goodbye". Another part could be that he wants to keep you in contact with him... which leads back to control..
