Why does ex behave like this after we said our goodbyes?

Question - (12 September 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 13 September 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I broke up with me ex several months ago and met with him a week ago for a closure, then I said goodbye to him. This is because we had been communicating on and off and I told him we can't move on if we still get in touch. He agreed with me.

Just 10 minutes after we separated (we talked for only 10 mins in the parking lot), he called me to say that if i ever need something, that I must feel free to contact him.

My question, what does he mean by that? We already said our goodbyes..

I noticed everytime we see each other to get closure, he calls me right after and says things like these. And on the phone, he sounded too shy or like he was about to cry and was pangting on the phone. Can anyone tell me their opinion why he does this?

vanillafrost agony auntI think he's having a hard time. Esspecially when you are facing each other. Goodbyes are never easy to deal with when u have a special bond with that someone and guys can't express them selves very well.. I think thats why. Good luck!
