No one one the internet can answer your question. You need to see a doctor.

You should go and see the doctor. The only other explanation i can think of would be what's called 'sleep' which you normally have in the corners of your eyes when you first wake up in the morning. Do you and your friend wear eye make-up??? This could be a factor in the colour, if i wear eyeliner i tend to wake up with black 'sleep' in my eyes.
But if you and your friend don't usually wear eye make-up, then go and see your doctor, they should be able to help further.

I've heard about Blood flowing backwards from the nose through the tear duct and out the small eyelid openings (puncta) on the eyelid before, but that was with a nose bleed. They tried to stop it, and this happened.
Also it is possible that there has been serious damage to the eye itself occuring from the pressure of the swollen tissue. Bleeding inside the eye can reduce vision, cause glaucoma, or damage the cornea.
This can be caused by a blow to the eye, chemical injury, conjunctivitis, corneal abrasion, eyelid and eye cuts, foreign object in the eye, iritis, or orbital cellulitis
Usually, when this happens there can be beeding or other discharge from or around the eye (like you mentioned), bruising, decreased vision, double vision, eye pain, headache, itchy eyes, loss of vision, pupils of unequal size, redness -- bloodshot appearance, a sensation of something in the eye, sensitivity to light, or a stinging or burning in the eye
I really think you should get this checked out, it could be nothing, but if it's something, it's best to know before it gets to bad.
