But now suddenly he's showing up in my dreams as a very human person. We have conversations and whatnot. We had been friends for a long time after our breakup, and we finally lost contact with one another when we were both ready to. I wasn't that sad about losing him from my life when the time came, and he was also engaged to someone else, so I don't know why my mind is suddenly having these serious dreams with him in them? There are a couple other exes I have yearned for, felt deeply about, and missed, but they never ever show up in my dreams. Wish they did, but they don't.Some friends that I know pop up in my dreams, and some never do, yet in real life these people all have an effect on my life so I don't understand why more of them don't carry on into my dream world while a few specific ones do.Any thoughts on this?

Perhaps something has recently reminded you about him? Or I could be wrong. The thing about dreams is, they aren't really meant to be deciphered (unless you believe in that). It is simply your mind reorganizing information at night. One of my friends constantly has dreams about people he knows in his life - I, on the other hand, never have dreams about people I know in real life. Most of my dreams are about strangers. But perhaps it is your subconscious telling you to say hi to him!
