They're very sore and often itchy, with a pus lump and there are quite a lot of these pus lumps. But it only happens when I shave. I want to know if anyone else gets this (or this many), and how you can get rid of them? Thanks guys, any help is much appreciated. Reply to this Question Share |

So stop shaving. Your hair acts as a barrier between skin and clothes to protect from chafing and friction. I used to get those too, I had to shave three times a week at least for ballet. I finally got tired of it though and just stopped shaving and started wearing shorts, and bathing suits with skirts.

Don't shave it too often because each time it damages your skin so if you do it regularly, you keep damaging it and not letting it have time to heal first. For the itchiness, I use a sensitive skin moisturiser as it cools the area and it doesn't itch. The pimples are going to be there because of everyday infections, clean the area before you shave, AND after you shave. Your young and it's not necessary that you keep shaving it. Cut down to shaving it once or twice a month for a while just so it can heal because it's a very sensitive area.

I have had this trouble on my chin. A patch of small pimples including pustules. Shaving irritates your skin and scrapes off a thin layer of skin. This opens you up for infections. What works for me is to clean the skin before shaving with an acne cleanser. Then use a fresh razor and high quality shaving cream made for sensitive skin.

Try trimming instead. We naturally have hair there for a reason.
