I'm glad this website allows you to see the poster's age. At your age and younger this happed a lot. I think part of it is you don't really know what love is eventhough at least one partner might think they do. Another is sometimes people think thats what you're supposed to say and don't really think about the meaning behind it. Love has a lot to do with compasion, empathy and sacrifice. Before the age of 21, i doubt many people have enough live experiance to adequatly have these emotions. I really really thought when I was 18 I was in love and again at 20. And for those relationships it was as close to love as you could have gotten at that age but at 26 you realize what you thought was happening and what you wanted to happen. And i'm sure when i'm 35 i'll wonder why i'm putting up with the BS i currently am now.
