reader, anonymous, writes (4 June 2009): Wow you sound like someone I know. How long ago was this relationship? My guess is that a negative trait drove him away in some manner. For example being too possessive or unhappy. Otherwise we men are hunters by nature. We tend to lose interest when the chase is over. It is time for a new conquest. It is coded in our genes. We have the iurge to find a new woman to conquer and get bored with the same old one. It takes alot of will power to stay with the same woman and make a committment. It takes more will power esp if men are attractive to other women and they are available.

 It sometimes seems that way, but you should just ask him about it rather than worrying yourself. It might be nothing, there might be another reason, you never know!Tell him how you feel. Maybe back off a bit with the 'giving him your heart' like actions or things you say, just to make him work that little bit harder to get your attention :)Good luck x
