writes: Why is it that every time I masturbate, as soon as I ejaculate I immediately lose interest. I mean i just stop, clean up, and go on about my day like it never happened. I don't like this because I...when masturbating have deep fantasies, but as soon as I ejaculate i completely get turned off and lose all interest in it..does anyone know why this happens, or has an explanation?

I'm guessing its like drinking water when you are apsolutely quenched or horny you crave it and when you drink the water or masturbate the craving goes away because you no longer have the need for it

I believe this is just how men are made. It is only the natural way of things. Ejaculate. It's over. The fantasies, the urges, the whole nine yards. It's all gone in an instant. Then you're all put back together and you go on. I'm given to understand that this is just the way guys work. I think it's pretty normal.

I guess that varies from person to person, but I can imagine sexual fantasies leads to the want to masturbate, and after doing so there is no need for the fantasy to arouse you any more. For now. And then like Samantha x said, it always comes back.
Are you afraid that when you have sex in real life you might loose interest in the woman suddenly? I hear some men experience that, unless they are in love with the woman beforehand. But that is a question for the guys.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (1 June 2010): I think what you are experiencing is completely normal. After you have finished, you have released all those pent up sexual feelings. They are released, and so you can carry on and do other things. Which is a good thing, otherwise it might be a bit hard to concentrate through the day! But those feelings always come back, right? The fantasies and urges to masturbate return at some point. So I think you are fine and perfectly normal. Hope this helps. x

FOr masturbation, that is absolutely normal. Try not to do that when you actually are with someone though. We like a little love after the act.

Yes, as "YouWish" says, we all do it, men and women alike, because it is merely a sexual release/gratification and how can you have an emotional relationship with your right hand?
When you do it with a real person you will find (I hope, else it just ain't worth it) a proper emotional connection and want to get involved more as you "come down".
A tip for the future: do NOT just roll off, fart and fall asleep - ladies do not like that!
Besides, you will miss some of the best feelings in the world - afterplay.

That's easy. Because you've "finished". All people have a "rocovery" period after sex/masturbation. Don't worry about it - it's normal. It'll be different when you're actually with someone because you'll still have feelings for them after you two have finished. Fantasies are totally different, because there isn't that emotional connection and sense of communion with them as there is with someone flesh and blood.
