I am really worried so any help will be great!

Im 15 and have quite a embarressing problem.

I shave all my pubes off, as i dont like having hair down there. The other week after shaving a day or two later a hard lump appeared and it wouldt pop but you could see that there was puss or something under the skin. A few days after that i put a pin ( i disinfected it) in it and sure enough puss came out, and over the last week or so its became very small and barely visable. I shaved again 3 days ago and then a day later another one of these hard under the skin lumps have appeared and wont pop. I am sexually active with my boyfriend of 6 months and we always use condoms so it couldnt be an sti. Yesterday i also shaved under my arms and i now have the same lump under my arm. Do you think its anything to do with the razor im using or ingrowing hairs or what?! usually ingrowing hairs the spots pop straight away but these spots arent popping and when you squeezie either side of them you can feel a pea size lump in between your fingers. What do you think this is?! please help Thank you xx

omg i have been so worried rescently about this problem too! i was concerned but waited a few days, longest few days ever but i waited and it eventually just gave way. mine went away ive had one since then. i would go with what bubbloo24 said about the bacteria and stuff. it makes sence.

i would have to agree with bubbloo24 on that one, although I was diagnosed with an infected sweat gland last week, which is remarkably similar. go see the GP, mine was treated with a course of antibiotics, its nothing to worry about

bubbloo24 agony auntI'm no doctor but it sounds to me like you're getting cysts.

Cysts are nothing really to worry about - they're just spots that are quite deep in the skin.

I think a lot of people get these but if you're really concerned about it, I'd suggest going to your GP but I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about.

I'm guessing that when you shave, it allows bacteria to get in to the pores in your skin and then the results is that you get a cyst. But that's just me guessing.

Try not to worry but if it really does bother you, go to your GP.

Take care xx

It is an ingrown hair. Everyone who shaves gets them and usually they take forever to go away. I can get them (I shave everything too) and they wont go away for a month. My boyfriend who also shaves everything gets them too. They are very normal and nothing to worry about. The white stuff that comes out is the same stuff that comes out when you pop a zit because zits are a lot like the same thing. I dont know of anything that you can do to stop them but I can reassure you that it doesn't mean that anything is wrong and that you aren't the only one with them.

try buy a new razor - a used razor with less sharp edges will give you the bumps.
