Why do I feel a compelling need to justify any action that could be labelled as selfish? Is there anything wrong about satisfying your own needs if your caretakers don't do a justice or are rigid / restrictive about what should be your needs ideally rather than giving importance to what are your needs really?

And it is here to impose certain beliefs.

"your caretakers don't do a justice or are rigid / restrictive about what should be your needs ideally rather than giving importance to what are your needs really"

This system of beliefs is shared by people who spend their whole life in one Community and do not tolerate other views.
