I thought we were done but he keeps talking to me. I realized that i need to let go of him because he's a liar, treats me like crap, and is a big time player. I know i did the right thing for telling him to leave me alone, but why does it hurt? After I told him that, my heart hurt and I was shaking the whole time. I shouldn't even like him after everything he's done to me. Gah, it's such a frustrating situation.

These things have a tendency to hurt simply because it's an end. It's human nature to not enjoy anything ending. Babies grow up, people we know die, couples break up, or even something simple as a good movie ending. We just don't like things to end. Sometimes even when it's in our best interest to end a bad thing we still don't like it. This is why it upsets you so.
He treated you badly, you put a stop to it. Good girl! That's just smart.
