To break one you would need to scratch or stretch one part beyond its limit. Possibly if where you are putting it isnt lubricated? But I would imagine a woman dry enough to tear a condom would be screaming in pain! Probably you are not being careful with the rolling technique and catching a finger nail. Trying another brand is also an idea.

 It's possible that during the opening of the package, you may be tearing the condom during the process. Remember to be more careful when opening the package.
Long, jagged fingernails can certainly be a culprit (it was for me). Make sure you're rolling the condom down with the pads of your fingertips and not the nails.

 If you are breaking one out of five condoms then you either have a bad batch, are opening them wrong. are using the wrong lubricant or don't know how to use them. Here's a good link for you:

 is it possible you need the Magnum XLs (they are bigger than the regular Magnums) and yes leaving a bit of room in the tip is crucial.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 September 2013): Yeah, the easiest way to break condoms is to roll them on without leaving a little wad of extra condom at the tip pinched off. The pinched off section should be like a little deflated balloon at the tip. The semen is supposed to collect in there and fill it up rather than force its way out down around your dick or break the condom.
