A female reader, ctds001 United Kingdom +, writes (17 June 2010):

Honey,

Guys can sometimes really misjudge what we think is funny. If your boyfriend is your age it does not surprise me he acts differently around he's friends.

Guys like to impress their friends with their wit and stupidity, so please do not take it personally.

However if he has told them very personal things about you, it's time to find someone who respects you and cares more for your feelings then being a clown.

Please do not let these little boys upset you, we all know girls mature faster then boys.

Talk to him tomorrow when he is alone and ask him not to play pranks with you when he's around he's mates.

Good luck x
