writes:the other day i was laying in bed watching tv with my boyfriend (we've been dating a few weeks.) a girl called and asked what he was doing and he saying "just laying in bed with my friend (my name)." i know he used to hang out with her a lot, not sure if he does anymore but when anyone else asks he calls me his girlfriend. should i say anything to him about it or just let it go? i dont want to seem jealous so soon but its really bugging me and i dont want to waste my time on him if he's going to do that.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2010): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionweve only been together a few weeks, definitely not living together and yeah to everyone else he says girlfriend. he didnt really say we were laying in bed together just watching tv. i ended up saying something about it and right after that she called and when she asked what he was doing he said he was with his girlfriend. im still not too happy about it but its early on in the relationship so ill just see how everything goes

Just talk to him about it tell him how it made you feel and ask him to tell this girl that he has a girlfriend and that is YOU! If he carries on doing it after you have told him then you are probably wasting your time on him.

If you play it cool and don't give him any reason to be defnsive about this friend of his, I think things will go much better for you. If you are going to be a couple, you should know this girl though. Maybe you and your boyfriend can go on a double date with she and a friend of hers.
