When some of my colleagues found out im a hairdresser they asked for me to do their hair-which i did and they paid me for it.1 girl in particular(who was always broke)asked for my help alot so i did her hair free of charge a few times and then helped her out at short notice when her hairdresser let her down. Now i had her booked in for tonight and she said that she wanted to cancel and get another girl who works downstairs who is also a hairdresser (she hardly knows her)to do it instead and gave me no reason...I mean she likes how i cut and colour it as she always raves about me....I just feel used. I mean £10 for a cut and blow dry isnt alot so unless this other girl is doing it for free then thats why.I did ask her the reason and she just laughed and said there was no particular reason....Your thoughts?? She sounds really rude. I wouldn't take it personally. Some people are ungrateful.

Yes this girl was using you. She is acting disrespectful by cancelling on you on such short notice.
It could be the other girl is charging less or doing it free which is most likely.
You should learn from this experience so it does not happen again whereby people take advantage of your kindness.
Goodluck!

Yeah I'd feel used too if I were you. No more freebies for the ungrateful, besides it's a skill you had to pay to learn so you should charge for your services.

Or maybe she's on her period and is bloating and farting and thinks it is easier to be around a girl and not a man today haha. Seriously there could be many reasons. I am pretty sure none of the reasons would be she suddenly dislikes you.
See how it goes working with her and if she acts like normal and nothing happened then I am sure everything is fine. We girls can be a little odd at times, its normal.
