writes:hi, my girlfriend of 2 years wanted to move overseas so i said its over. then i thought about it and thought we could still make it coz i love her so. i tried to get her back and she kept saying she needs time to think. so i gave her weeks. then i saw her out and ignored her coz i was completely drunk. i msgd her the next day and she said it made a few things clear. i said im coming over so we can talk and then i got a reply saying its finished, were over and it has been for months, were the exact words. i still dont know why it finished like that, i never replied after that msg coz i knew she wouldnt reply anyway. why did it end and end with a txt and how do i move on and forget. im in so much pain, i cared for her so much

reader, anonymous, writes (8 November 2010): You had already told her it was over when she said she was going overseas so she wasn't the one who ended it in that text. She was proably hurt her so much that she thought why should she go back to someone who ended the relationship in the first place.
Your going to have to try and learn from this mistake so that your future relationships are stronger. In time maybe you and her will be friendly with each other but right now you'll need your friends around you to help you move on and enjoy your life without her.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 November 2010): you certainly messed up badly. A text is a hard way to end things. And your pain is so much at the break up that you lashed out badly. You have burnt too many bridges on this one. Perhaps realise that too many things went wrong such that trust was completely lost. Never text nor msg when you have been drinking either
