writes:I ended up going to prom with my ex b/c my real date stood me up 20 min before prom started and I didn't want to waste his prom ticket. My ex has a gf and she was fine with us going to prom together. (Nothing happened although it was kinda awkward at first) Me and him began dating exactly a year ago (April 24)and we only lasted 3 months but they were fantastic and we were each others first bf/gf. Well, we've broken up at least 3 times in the past year and the last time we got back together was in January. Yesterday, his ex got jealous b/c she saw a picture of us at prom and said that we looked 'perfect' together. She wanted to know if he still likes me and he said yes (which almost lead to their break-up) I don't understand him. Back in January he said he didn't like me as much as he did when we first started dating. He claims to be 'in love' with his current gf but yet he had to guts to tell her that he still likes me? I don't understand or believe him. We both promised to never get back together but yesterday he asked if I'm really going to stick to that? hinting that he wasn't. I care for him but more than half of me has moved on. He even promised he wouldn't miss my graduation which is next month.. I just dont understand why he is even acting this way btw, we're both 17 and his gf is 15?

 You need to have an honest talk with him and see what exactly it is that he wants. Maybe he does still like you but more as a friend as suppose to a girlfriend. It is clear that he still wants to maintain the friendship with you and if you both kept breaking up well then its obvious maybe a relationship is not meant for the both of you and you might actually be better of just remaining friends. Talk to him and see what he wants. Also be honest with him and tell him how you feel. Goodluck.
