My crushes' step brother approached him and whispered "your girlfriend is here" My crush laughed and pushed him away telling him to "shut up". Unfortunately I did not see it due to being distracted in conversation with my best-friends' brother. Why did my crushes step brother do that?

My guess? Your "crush" is "public knowledge" - it's not a secret crush, EVERYONE and their stepbrother knows.
Does it mean your crush likes you back? Who knows.
I think it means that the step-brother was teasing him over the crush.

I don’t know why your crush’s step brother did that ... sounds like an in~family joke to me but could also mean that somebody you crush is keen on ist arrived.
